OCCares is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation of Social Entrepreneurs as Agents of Change. We fulfill this vision through Project Y, a youth social entrepreneurship program developed in partnership with Pepperdine University & University of California Irvine.
Make a Difference! Join the OCCares 2024 workshop for high school students and ignite your passion for social entrepreneurship!
Here’s what’s in store:
Social Enterprise Spectrum Course: Dive into the curriculum by Pepperdine University and explore the fascinating world of social enterprises.
Pitch Perfect: Learn the art of pitching your vision from Conrad Nidzielski, a young entrepreneur and two-time pitch competition champion.
My Why: Be inspired by Jason Strickner, a graduate student in Pepperdine’s Social Entrepreneurship & Change program, as he shares his journey.
Workshop goals:
Understand what social entrepreneurship truly means.
Develop leadership and business skills.
Contribute to your community through a post-workshop volunteer activity (up to 20 service hours!).
Walk away with a certificate of completion.
When: Fall 2024. Date TBA
