Aviara Collaborative Care Project (ACCP)
ACCP was founded by Dr. Katherine Ahn, the founder of both Aviara and the non-profit organization OCCares. When building the flagship Aviara Center of Los Alamitos, Dr. Ahn envisioned creating an environment that was conducive for relaxation and healing, a place that would help her patients capture the essence of its Vision: “Helping Patients Breathe, Live & Smile”.
The following artists have agreed to donate a % of the proceeds (depending on the artist) to OCCares. By purchasing the featured artwork or design services you will be planting seeds and inspiring the next generation to be part of the solution.
JESSICA OSBORNE
Jessica Osborne is a professional artist who was born in 1979 and raised in a small town in Illinois by a mother who was a painter & father a musician.
In 1998 Jessica moved to California where she was inspired by the beauty of the ocean and the calmness of the redwoods. Wanting to bring the mood indoors Jessica became a self taught artist creating all types of art. However she did not pick up a paintbrush until 2004. She painted mostly landscape art, pet portraits and realism. In 2014 she began to work on abstract art. She feels abstract art stimulates creativity in both artist and viewer. Most of her work is inspired by the ocean and painted on a large canvas. She uses texture, acrylic or oil and mixed media.
Jessica is represented by: Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art, Off The Walls Studios, CA, Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel & Aviara Centers
Jessica participates in live painting events, charity events, & open houses. Her life’s purpose is to spread joy through her artwork!
LESLI BONANNI
“The distant horizon has always intrigued me. Perhaps it represents a memory, a mood, or a metaphor of moving toward the future, or paying homage to the past. My work is of a minimalist nature, as I am mainly interested in distillation of the landscape, to reveal its essence. Living near the beach and memories of my travels are consistent inspirations, and greatly influence my art.”
Lesli Bonanni was born in Long Beach, California. Her works grace the walls of both commercial and residential interiors across the country. Her paintings have been accepted and exhibited at the International Pastel Society of America, and at the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach California. Many images are licensed and made into large canvases, framed and sold to the retail, interior design, hospitality and healthcare industry. Several of her paintings are for sale through Pottery Barn and several design studios. Others have been rented for display on movie and television show sets. The artist also enjoys teaching art classes in Laguna Beach and San Clemente, California.
LISA HILL
Lisa Hill was born in Long Beach, California. She has over 30 years of experience in all phases of construction and design, real estate and business. Lisa has worked on hundreds of residential and commercial design projects of all scales.
“Design is my true passion, the highest compliment I can receive is when my clients tell me I have captured their true essence in the expression of their home or business. I believe visual surroundings should reflect your true individual personality and lifestyle. Where we wake up and put our head down to sleep at night, or where we do business daily is so important to our overall health and well-being”.
Lisa is a California native and resides in South Orange County, California. When she is not designing you will find her hiking, cooking, entertaining and riding horses.
THAMBI THOMAS EDD
Thambi is a retired educator who served in private Christian education for 44 years as elementary and secondary teacher, principal and as an Associate Superintendent and Associate Director of Secondary Education at the Southern California Conference and the Pacific Union Conference respectively.
Thambi an immigrant from India, is a self-taught artist, and painted primarily for relaxation. Upon retirement he was looking for a way to use his artistic skills to raise money for the charity operated by his grandniece in Uganda (see chrysalis.org). The idea “Art For a Cause” was born. Pacific Gallery Laguna beach (now closed) carried the sand dollars to help raise money for Christalis.
Thambi is pleased to announce a new partnership with Aviara to raise funds for OC Cares and Christalis. Aviara parters with locals artists to raise funds for OC Cares to help fulfill its mission to raise the next generation of compassionate, social entrepreneurs. Christalis Home provides shelter, food, clothing, education, health care, motivational tools and a loving family atmosphere to children who have been orphaned, abandoned and abused, and left to live on the streets in Uganda.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of Sand Dollar Seascapes will go towards the support of OC Cares and Christalis.
